60th COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES – Class of 2024
Curley celebrates the Commencement Exercises for the Class of 2024 at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen on May 24, 2024.
The commencement speaker was Mr. Terrence M. Sawyer, President, Loyola University Maryland.
After Fr. Donald and Mr. Joseph presented diplomas, the following awards were announced:
Ideal Curley Man of the Year – Carson J. Giannelli
School Spirit – Anthony J. Polcari
School Service – Nathan J. Raynor
St. Bonaventure Scholastic (Highest QPA 4 years) – Anthony W. Cerone
St. Francis Scholastic (2nd highest QPA 4 years) – Carson H. Eddy
THE BACCALAUREATE MASS – Class of 2024
The Basilica of the Assumption of Mary, America’s first cathedral, was the setting for the Baccalaureate Mass of the Class of 2024 on Wednesday, May 22nd. Archbishop Michael J. Curley is buried in the crypt under the sanctuary. As part of Curley tradition, the seniors walk past the tomb of the namesake of the school on their way in to Mass.
Fr. Donald Grzymski, OFM Conv. ’70, President of Curley, was the principal celebrant and homilist for the Mass. The Curley Schola, directed by Mr. Michael Gaffney, led the singing. Members of the Class of 2024 proclaimed the readings and intercessions. After Communion, a number of awards were presented to the following recipients.
